How to open SPSS after installation on Windows

These instructions are for people that can’t open the software or are continually clicking the desktop install icon mistakenly re-running the installation process.

Instructions on how to open SPSS

  1. In the Start menu, select All Programs.

  2. In your list of programs, you will see a folder called either SPSS or IBM SPSS
    Statistics. Open that folder.

  3. In that folder, you will see programs called IBM SPSS Statistics Commuter
    License, IBM SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard and IBM SPSS
    Statistics. Click IBM SPSS Statistics to open the software.

Alternatively, you can search “IBM SPSS Statistics” in the start search menu. You will see programs called IBM SPSS Statistics Commuter License, IBM SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard and IBM SPSS
Statistics. Click IBM SPSS Statistics to open the software.

 

Do not click on the desktop install icons labeled SPSS_Statistics_24_win32 or SPSS_Statistics_24_win64 after using them to initially install. These are only for installing the program, not a shortcut to open and use the software.
